/faq
Things people ask before signing up.
Do I need an AWS account?
No — that's the point. We run the SES infrastructure, the IAM policies, the sending quotas and
the region failover. You get an SMTP host and a credential pair.
What happens if I exceed my tier?
Sends over your monthly quota get a polite
452 4.2.2 monthly quota exceeded at
MAIL FROM — your mailer's retry logic treats it as temporary. Upgrade any time and the limit
lifts immediately. We never silently bill overage.Do you support dedicated IPs?
On Pro as an optional add-on, and standard on Enterprise with warmed pools. Shared pools are
fine for most transactional volume — we keep them clean aggressively.
Is SMTP really all you do?
Sending, yes. SMTP first because every language already speaks it; a REST send API and delivery
webhooks are on the Pro roadmap. No marketing-blast tooling, ever.
What about inbound email?
We don't receive mail. justsmtp is send-only by design — no MX records, no mailbox hosting,
no forwarding.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Downgrade to Hobby and keep sending your first 1,000 a month free, or delete the account —
your DNS records are yours to remove.
